Poll: Corbett up 10 in guv race

Tom Corbett still enjoys a double-digit lead in the race for governor, according to a new poll.

The Public Policy Polling survey released Wednesday showed Corbett, the Republican nominee and state attorney general, leading Democrat Dan Onorato by 10 points, 45 percent to 35 percent. That’s a slightly smaller lead than Corbett enjoyed in February, when the same poll found Onorato, the Allegheny County executive, trailing by 13 points.

Group wants Corbett to return cash from company with BP ties

An environmental group is calling on Republican Tom Corbett to return campaign cash he received from an energy company that is drilling in the Marcellus Shale because it also has an ownership stake in the BP well spewing oil into the Gulf of Mexico.
