With the state’s Republican establishment overwhelmingly behind Attorney General Tom Corbett for governor, fundraising has been a challenge for conservative state Representative Sam Rohrer (R-Berks). Corbett says Rohrer took Constitution remarks out of context
Republican Tom Corbett on Wednesday began to push back against primary opponent Sam Rohrer’s persistent criticism of comments Corbett made about the Constitution last weekend, with his campaign saying that Roher had “edited Tom’s remarks to twist and misrepresent the true meaning” of what Corbett said.
The response, made in a statement from Corbett’s campaign manager and later in an e-mail to supporters, came after Rohrer has spent the better part of two days

The Constitution argument isn’t just academic
There’s a reason tens of thousands of Pennsylvanians are engaged in a renewed way in the political process this year, and it’s why countless others are getting involved for the very first time. It’s because of a deep concern that freedom—freedoms outlined in plain language in the Constitution—are being redefined, misinterpreted and, in some cases, erased by political decisions in Washington.
This past weekend, my opponent and I outlined starkly different views on the rights…

The state Representative took to YouTube to draw a contrast between himself and the state attorney general, on an issue that can often light a fire under the conservative grassroots. “Let me respectfully but unequivocally disagree on all counts,” Rohrer says in a Web video.
Corbett made his comments…
