Looks like we’ll actually be getting two more gubernatorial debates before Election Day.
One more has been added to the schedule, and this one is set to go down Oct. 18. It’ll be aired on the local ABC affiliate in Philadelphia, giving Republican Tom Corbett and Democrat Dan Onorato what could potentially be their biggest debate audience of the campaign.
That debate will come just two days after the candidates have their second debate, a…

Dent cracks an Ethics Committee joke, Callahan pounces
Congressman Charlie Dent (R-15) would rather be on the Appropriations Committee. He’s not alone in coveting an influential spot that probably hundreds of lawmakers want. But when Democratic challenger John Callahan’s campaign got hold of a video in which Dent briefly seems to make light of being on the Ethics Committee instead, it quickly pounced.
Callahan’s campaign released the clip as part of a larger campaign video Wednesday. In it, Dent, joined by House Minority…

Dent ad questions Callahan’s budget-balancing
The latest ad from Congressman Charlie Dent (R-15) calls into question Democratic challenger John Callahan’s professed reputation as a mayor who consistently balances the local budget in Bethlehem.
Dent’s 30-second spot, which started airing Monday, cites a recent audit that found the city facing a deficit.
Flashing pictures of President Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the ad closes: “Callahan: Big spending, big deficits, financial disaster. Sound familiar?”
See the ad below. It will be…

AD WATCH: Landing punches in the 15th
Both Republican incumbent Charlie Dent and Democratic challenger John Callahan used their first TV ads of the 15th Congressional District campaign to go directly at each other.
Callahan’s first ad depicts Dent as a friend of Wall Street over Main Street, a familiar message this year. Dent’s first spot hits Callahan for having supported property tax increases and pushing a sales tax increase. Both commercials omit information to paint a more simplistic picture than actually…
