h6If you look at the data you will see that the GOP has a sizeable lead in all aspects of Social Media (2 years ago it was the opposite!) BUT, if you add Barack Obama’s Social Network Eco-system, the numbers are more even. What does this imply or say about the war going on in Social Networking? who’s on top and how is it integrating with campaigns in 2010? 2012?/h6

pI need to respond to Ben Smith’s story on Politico yesterday. He has abr /
picture of one campaign brochure that features Joe Sestak lessbr /
prominently than Dan Onorato. From this one campaign leaflet, he jumpsbr /
to the erroneous conclusion that Sestak is not loved by the Democraticbr /
party.br /
As someone who has stopped by almost daily the Philadelphia office ofbr /
Organizing for America, Obama’s get the vote operation, I can tell youbr /
that the Democratic Party is working v just as hard to elect Sestak tobr /
the Senate as they are to elect Onorato as Governor. Every one of thebr /
thousands phone calls made there every day mentions both candidates.br /
In addition, I have seen all types of configurations on the campaignbr /
literature and some favor Sestak. Each is designed with a targetbr /
audience in mind./p

More on Brady and Rendell …
Updated: 10/30/2010
Stu Bykofsky wrote in the Daily News on Thursday that Governor Rendell said at a meeting of ward leaders that Democratic Party Chairman (and Congressman) Brady would resign as chairman if Philly voter turnout didn’t top 50%. Rendell and Brady have been the Batman and Robin of Philly politics for so long that I was surprised that Rendell would say such a thing in public. At the recent Obama-Biden rally in Germantown, Rendell…

LEFTOVERS: Rendell says get over it, Kanjo & reporters, Meehan talks corruption
Give Ed Rendell this much: The lame-duck governor is nothing if not the fighter-conscience of the Democratic Party.
Rendell this week joined the Obama administration in telling liberals to buck up before the midterm elections, and leave their malaise at the door.
“This isn’t about President Obama,” Rendell said late Monday on MSNBC. “It’s about whether the Democratic Party, not perfect, but certainly bent on trying to preserve theories in government and progressive practices, is…

Rendell to Corbett: Run against your opponent, not me
Gov. Ed Rendell on Monday lashed out at Republican Tom Corbett for trying the make the gubernatorial race a referendum on the lame-duck incumbent instead of just focusing on his opponent.
During a Harrisburg news conference, Rendell said that Corbett should “should start running against [Democratic nominee] Dan Onorato—not me.” In remarks reported by pRendell’s comments came after a href="http://www.pa2010.com/2010/10/corbett-brings-the-rendell-argument-to-tv/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.pa2010.com']);return TrackClick("http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pa2010.com%2F2010%2F10%2Fcorbett-brings-the-rendell-argument-to-tv%2F','Corbett%22s+campaign+hit+the+airwaves+with+its+first+ad+directly+trying+Onorato+to+Rendell')" target="_blank">Corbett’s campaign hit the airwaves with its first ad directly trying Onorato to Rendell.

Rendell says Dems were ‘too scared’ for tax fight
Ever-critical of his party’s political moxie, Gov. Ed Rendell had more harsh words for Democrats this weekend, saying party leaders were “too scared” to take up a fight over letting Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthy expire.
Democrats recently abandoned efforts to address the matter before the midterm elections, despite widespread popular support for letting tax cuts for top earners lapse while extending them for the middle class.
“I think we were too scared,” Rendell…

Two candidates, one debate, one fundraiser, one Rendell remark
Pat Toomey held court with Ted Koppel live on PCN, opponent nowhere in sight. Joe Sestak raised money with John Kerry. And Gov. Ed Rendell, always unfiltered, found time to offer the other side a talking point.
The ongoing debate in Pennsylvania’s competitive Senate race was nothing if not diffused across the state Monday, with the two candidates missing a chance for a first meeting but the back-and-forth continuing nonetheless.
Hours before the Pennsylvania Chamber…

Rendell: Some want me to ‘lose all my weight and go away’
Much ink has been spilled about the many, many pounds that Gov. Ed Rendell has shed over the last year. But the lame-duck governor says that might not be enough for his critics.
“Actually, there are some people in Pennsylvania who would like me to lose all my weight and go away,” Rendell joked while appearing Thursday morning on MSNBC as part of a program to encourage healthy lifestyles.
“But they get their wish in…

Rendell exempts Corbett, Toomey from ‘wackos’ comment

Kaine makes the argument; Rendell says ‘wackos’ run GOP
PHILADELPHIA—Democratic National Committee chairman Tim Kaine laid down his party’s political argument for the midterm elections Wednesday, insisting that Democrats had rescued an economy brought to the brink by Republican policies and that giving the GOP control of government again would lead the country even further back from where it was when President Obama took office.
Joined by Gov. Ed Rendell and other party leaders and activists at the University of Pennsylvania here, Kaine used…
