Specter says Wilson should get ‘reprimand or censure’ for heckling Obama

Continuing his strong defense of President Obama, Senator Arlen Specter said Thursday that Congressman Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) should be formally admonished for yelling “you lie” at Obama during his speech Wednesday night.

“There ought to be a reprimand or censure of Rep. Joe Wilson to discourage that kind of conduct in the future,” Specter said on his Twitter feed. “Rep. Wilson apologized immediately afterward but I don’t think that’s adequate.”

DCCC hits Dent on stimulus vote

Congressman Charlie Dent (R-15) is one of several Republicans being targeted by the Democratic Congresional Campaign Committee for voting against President Obama’s economic stimulus package.

In radio ads and robo-calls launched recently, the DCCC tells voters: “Did you know Congressman Dent opposed an $800 tax cut for couples? Tell him Pennsylvania first.”
