  • Obama welcomes Specter as ‘one tough hombre’

    With scenes like this, it could get harder for other Democrats to fathom a primary against Senator Arlen Specter.

    Welcoming Specter to the party at the White House this morning, President Obama praised Specter as an advocated for health care.

    “Today I have the honor of standing next to the newest Democrat from the state of Pennsylvania,” Obama said.

  • Obama will help in 2010

    Regardless of who the Democratic nominees are in Pennsylvania next year, President Obama will be sure to make several visits to the Keystone State. After all, he has done well by them. His initiatives have expanded health coverage for more than 129,000 kids, saved more than 143,00 jobs with the stimulus plan and aided 138,000 students by making the American Opportunity Tax Credit refundable.

    Expect to see him around.

  • With friends like these…

    Over the weekend, President Barack Obama was seen hugging, joking, smiling and laughing with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Chavez is the same man who referred to our country’s sitting President as “the devil” and just recently called President Obama an “ignoramus.”

    So how does our current President reward him for publically denouncing our country numerous times? Yes, he openly hugs and jokes with a dictator who controls his media and has put down any demonstration that questions his leadership through force.
