h6If you look at the data you will see that the GOP has a sizeable lead in all aspects of Social Media (2 years ago it was the opposite!) BUT, if you add Barack Obama’s Social Network Eco-system, the numbers are more even. What does this imply or say about the war going on in Social Networking? who’s on top and how is it integrating with campaigns in 2010? 2012?/h6

pI need to respond to Ben Smith’s story on Politico yesterday. He has abr /
picture of one campaign brochure that features Joe Sestak lessbr /
prominently than Dan Onorato. From this one campaign leaflet, he jumpsbr /
to the erroneous conclusion that Sestak is not loved by the Democraticbr /
party.br /
As someone who has stopped by almost daily the Philadelphia office ofbr /
Organizing for America, Obama’s get the vote operation, I can tell youbr /
that the Democratic Party is working v just as hard to elect Sestak tobr /
the Senate as they are to elect Onorato as Governor. Every one of thebr /
thousands phone calls made there every day mentions both candidates.br /
In addition, I have seen all types of configurations on the campaignbr /
literature and some favor Sestak. Each is designed with a targetbr /
audience in mind./p

PA-08 race gets nasty as both sides trade fraud allegations in the closing hours

A decision by the Bucks County Board of Elections could mean that we might have to wait to learn the results of the race between incumbent Democrat Patrick Murphy and challenger Mike Fitzpatrick./p
pAt issue are at least 8,000 absentee ballots. On Friday, the Republican-controlled elections board voted to sequester the ballots until they can investigate the allegations. If the election is as close as it was in 2006 – Murphy beat Fitzpatrick by 1518 votes – and the a href="http://elections.nytimes.com/2010/forecasts/house/pennsylvania/8" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://elections.nytimes.com']);return TrackClick("http%3A%2F%2Felections.nytimes.com%2F2010%2Fforecasts%2Fhouse%2Fpennsylvania%2F8','polls')" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">polls showing a close race are accurate, then those ballots could swing the election. The Allentown Morning Call pMurphy and the Democratic Party counter that Republicans are engaging in illegal voter suppression and fraud. The Murphy campaign is also alleging voter suppression because six times as many ballots from Democrats as Republicans have been rejected in Bucks County.

Hey Undecideds: Stop Being PC And Pick A Side
Let’s get something straight this campaign season. There are no “un-decideds.” Or at least there shouldn’t be.
If there are, they should be banned from voting. As Dean Wormer said in Animal House, “Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life.” And if you’re truly undecided, that’s exactly what you’re doing.
So for those wannabes who think it’s desirable and politically correct to seem overly “deliberative” during a poll, do us all…

Commentary: Are you being played this election?
by Tony Heyl
Election Day is Tuesday (Millions of Americans have been voting early across the country but Pennsylvania is way, way behind the times), and the frustrations of voters are about to come to a boil. Before everyone goes out to vote with their gut, it might be good to step back and think with your head.
Voters who have rallied around the cause of “throw the bums out” should think about who they are trying to…

More on Brady and Rendell …
Updated: 10/30/2010
Stu Bykofsky wrote in the Daily News on Thursday that Governor Rendell said at a meeting of ward leaders that Democratic Party Chairman (and Congressman) Brady would resign as chairman if Philly voter turnout didn’t top 50%. Rendell and Brady have been the Batman and Robin of Philly politics for so long that I was surprised that Rendell would say such a thing in public. At the recent Obama-Biden rally in Germantown, Rendell…

2010 Elections: No More Frankens By RNC Chairman Michael Steele
There are 5 days until the November 2nd midterm elections. If you listen to the news pundits and political pollsters, Republicans are poised to win big this cycle, up-and-down the ballot, not only in House and Senate but also races for Governor and state legislative chambers across the country. It’s an exciting time for our Party and the nation as we stand on the brink of taking our country back.
Just think about…

US Chamber of Commerce officially backs Dent

ALLENTOWN — Congressman Charlie Dent (R-15) picked up the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce yesterday at ASGCO Manufacturing here, adding to his list business backers.
“[Dent] has been a great friend to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, to businesses of all sizes,” Chamber Vice President Bill Miller told an audience of employees. “We’ve spent a lot of time, a lot of resources trying to identify those people that are supportive of free enterprise…we…
