Critz evokes Murtha in new ad

Despite sometimes being called a “legacy candidate,” Democrat Mark Critz has in recent weeks mostly been distancing himself from that legacy, the late Congressman John Murtha. But now he’s embracing Murtha on TV.

Critz’s latest ad for the 12th District special election features his time as Murtha’s district director, when, the ad says, Critz helped Murtha “bring in thousands of new jobs.”

Five Clinton County elected officials endorsed Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato on Friday, with Lock Haven Mayor Rick Vilello calling the Democrat the “only candidate with the experience to back up his ideas.”

David Madeira received a key endorsement from former U.S. Congressman and Harveys Lake resident James Nelligan at a fundraiser held at the Westmoreland Club in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Madeira, a conservative Republican, is seeking the 10th Congressional District seat currently held by Chris Carney.
