pThe DSCC released a new ad for Sestak titled “a href="http://www.dscc.org/corning" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.dscc.org']);return TrackClick("http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dscc.org%2Fcorning','Corning')" target="_blank"Corning/a” to run in the state during the last week before the election. The ad highlights a College Township, Centre County, plant owned by Corning, N.Y., based Corning Inc. In 2003, the plant shut down and the jobs sent to China. The ad then attacks Toomey for his votes granting China special trade status as well as corporate tax breaks that facilitated the outsourcing. The ad points out that the workers were directed to disassemble the machines before they, too, were shipped overseas./p
