  • Dems employing different strategies in Senate race

    October 15, 2009 at 10:29 am

The race for the Democratic Senate nomination is in full swing and the two different strategies that are currently being employed by Senator Arlen Specter and Congressman Joe Sestak (D-7) are interesting, to say the least.

For example, Sestak is working every major cable news network show, appearing side-by-side with Republican Senate candidate Pat Toomey as they debate the most pressing news issues of the day. But Specter has been noticeably absent from these debates.…

  • Community organizers gone wild

    September 27, 2009 at 6:14 pm

Over the last few weeks, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), has been caught on camera at locations all across the country doing awful things such as giving advice on how to cheat the IRS to a couple who were posing as a pimp and a prostitute.

For those of you who don’t know, ACORN is a group with strong ties to President Obama and many leaders in the Democratic Party at…

  • A house of czars?

    September 8, 2009 at 8:20 pm

Over the weekend, President Obama’s “green jobs” czar Van Jones resigned his position from the White House. Jones, a self-avowed communist, was heavily criticized for being a radical who was arrested multiple times, pushed for the release of convicted Philadelphia cop-killer Mumia Abu Jamal and even signed a petition in support of the 9/11 “truther” movement.

The White House, already reeling from the health care debate, is hoping that Jones’ resignation will end the public…

  • Republicans are rolling

    August 26, 2009 at 9:28 am

Sorry for the long delay between posts, but things have been incredibly busy here at the Pennsylvania GOP as we continue to prepare for the critical 2009 statewide judicial elections.

However, while we enjoy these last few summer days, I wanted to take a few minutes to opine on the major political news stories being discussed at both the national and state level.

The health care debate continues to serve as the centerpiece of the…

  • ObamaCare must be debated

    August 11, 2009 at 9:15 am

As you may have seen on the national news, health care town hall meetings have been quite interesting lately, as countless Americans have been vocal in expressing their outrage over government-run, taxpayer-funded health care.

First of all, I want to assure everyone that contrary to what many Democrats have been saying, these events are not being orchestrated by the party. Americans are upset and they should be concerned about anything the government wants to run.…

    July 30, 2009 at 10:01 am

Yesterday, we received further proof that Gov. Ed Rendell and his administration are completely out-of-touch with the needs of Pennsylvanians. In an

  • The ‘Blue Dog’ comedy tour

    July 21, 2009 at 10:31 am

We understand that there has been confusion among the membership in the state House Democratic Caucus, as some aren’t sure if they are part of the “Big Government” Democratic Caucus or the “Blue Dog” Democratic Caucus. We heard that some members of the so-called “Blue Dog” Democratic Caucus became so confused last Friday that they forgot they were supposed to be against tax increases and voted for the Democrats’ fiscally irresponsible budget anyway. To help…

  • ‘Blue Dog’ Democrats all bark, no bite

    July 20, 2009 at 3:58 pm

In the past few weeks, the “Blue Dog” Democrats gained a lot of media attention for having claimed that they opposed Gov. Ed Rendell’s plan for a major increase in the personal income tax. But when given a chance to show everyone that they stand for fiscal responsibility, almost every single one of the “Blue Dog” Democrats proved they are all bark and no bite.

“Blue Dog” Democrats had two options on Friday: raise taxes…
