Some reactions

My projections could have been better. And whoever told me I low-balled Scott Conklin, I sincerely apologize. However, I’d like to focus on two things.
One, I’m wondering how Bruce Castor voted for Governor—Sam Rohrer anyone?
Secondly, the turnout killed Arlen Specter. No doubt about it. But, I still think we should thank Arlen for his service.
Third, Mary Beth Buchanan needs to sit down with someone and vent.
Fourth and finally, you could be…

With primary day upon us, I’ve considered everything and come up with a simple conclusion. Joe Sestak vs. Arlen Specter will go down as one of the nastiest primary races ever. It comes down to a simple fact, that Sestak supporters hate Specter more than anything, and Specter supporters can’t stand Specter either. My gut says Sestak wins, but my head says Specter.
But, when it is all said and done, all eyes will turn…

For the primaries, I’ll be making two different endorsements for each race: one for who’s the most electable, one for who I think will do the best work for Pennsylvania.

I’m getting a laugh out of Steve Urban, a Republican Candidate for Lieutenant Governor and a Luzerne County Commissioner.
He is also running for State Representative. Next Tuesday could be a really good day for him, and although I’m pretty sure he won’t be taking both offices after November, he could be one of two people who win two elections in a day.
Mark Critz and Tim Burns are also up for such distinction, but…

If Pennsylvania’s gubernatorial primary winners chose their running mates for November, who would Tom Corbett, Sam Rohrer, and the Democratic bunch choose to have run with them? As pointless as this is to discuss, it raises as interesting possibility.
It is very well possible Tom Corbett would pick Jim Cawley to balance the ticket geographically, or maybe even Chet Beiler or Sam Rohrer to reach out to the party’s more-Conservative wing. Jonathan Saidel on the…

With two weeks left before primary (and special election) day, I thought it was time for some prediction.
So here we go.

Theoretically, but very unlikely: What if Mark Critz wins the special election in the 12th District, but Ryan Bucchianeri wins the primary? This is of course, highly unlikely, but I keep trying to imagine that situation. If your Critz giving a victory speech, what do you say?
“Thanks for the next few months, most of which is recess!”
I also wonder if this could go down as the shortest congressional term in history. I tried…

I don’t know the system perfectly, I’ll be honest. But the Philadelphia Republican Party is a joke, that I know.
I couldn’t find a better definition of corrupt, lazy patronage in the dictionary. But, there is an idea in the back of my head.
Anthony Williams poses a real threat to Tom Corbett. Although strictly political, having a functional Republican party in the city would surely help Corbett. On Wall Street, Eliot Spitzer (dare I…
