The Marcellus Shale is one of the greatest economic development opportunities in the history of Pennsylvania. Aside from its tremendous potential to produce energy, it represents an enormous foundation for job creation. According to the state Department of Labor and Industry, the Marcellus Shale could produce 4,397 jobs directly and a total of 15,609 ancillary jobs.

When I graduated high school in 1985, I went to the movies that summer to see “Year of the Dragon,” which starred Mickey Rourke and dealt with organized crime in Chinatown. Disappointed but not panicking

Much has been said and written about Tuesday’s race in Massachusetts. And while it was an obvious disappointment to Democrats after making historic gains in 2008, everyone knows that 2010 will be a difficult year.

That goes for everyone, not just Democrats.
