Rep. Fattah Says Pelosi is “the Leader America Needs”

WASHINGTON D.C., Nov. 5, 2010 — Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-Pa.), Chair of the Congressional Urban Caucus and a Member of the House Appropriations Committee, releases the following statement in support of Nancy Pelosi’s bid to be Minority Leader in the 112^th Congress:

“Speaker Pelosi led our caucus to victory before and I know that she will again. She has proven herself to be one of the most effective Speakers of all time. I have been proud to work with her in all that we have accomplished in the past four years and I am confident that we will be electing her Speaker once again in 2012.

“Whether the challenge is economic recovery, financial regulation, health care or environmental protection, the Speaker has shown an impressive ability to bring our diverse caucus together to resolve difficult issues and build an agenda to move the country forward.
