RESPONSE TO REP. SCHWARTZ ALLEGATIONS ADCOCK SHIPS JOBS OVERSEAS

Huntingdon Valley, PA, October 31, 2010— Dee Adcock has been a small businessman for the last 30 years. After graduating college with a degree in economics, he joined the family business, W.W. Adcock, which at the time was a small swimming pool supplies retail store. He began to develop and expand the wholesale side of the business growing the company into one of the largest independent swimming pool distributors in the country.

Today, W.W. Adcock purchases pool supplies and the parts it distributes from manufactures right here in the USA. It provides those products to hundreds of local small businesses who build pools for and provide related services to consumers. In doing so, Dee Adcock supports thousands of jobs across our nation.

Dee Adcock’s efforts have even kept an American spa manufacturing company (Master Spas) from closing its Indiana plant and leaving for Spain. He was able to secure funding to keep the plant open and to keep those jobs for American workers. Additionally, Dee Adcock has brought manufacturing jobs to the US from abroad. Adcock, in cooperation with an importer, helped found a new fiberglass pool manufacturing plant in South Carolina (Barrier Reef Pools USA). Now, thousands of pools, which were formerly imported from a foreign company, are currently being made by hard working Americans.

Dee Adcock has spent a lifetime defending the American Worker. He knows firsthand the resourcefulness, talent and skill of Americans.
