Anti-abortion group again targets Dems in radio spots

The anti-abortion group Americans United for Life is up with a new slate of radio ads targeting Democrats, and three Pennsylvanians are among its familiar list of targets.

Citing the presence of a conservative third-party candidate, Republican Pat Meehan has backed out of the last scheduled debate in the competitive 7th Congressional District.

For months, Republicans have been arguing that electing Democrat Dan Onorato to the Governor’s Mansion will amount to a third term for Ed Rendell. Four weeks before Election Day, Republican Tom Corbett’s campaign is taking that message to TV.

Corbett’s campaign is up with a new commercial, a 30-second spot that amounts to the strongest effort to date to tie Onorato and Rendell at the hip.
