Anti-abortion group again targets Dems in radio spots
The anti-abortion group Americans United for Life is up with a new slate of radio ads targeting Democrats, and three Pennsylvanians are among its familiar list of targets.
Democratic incumbents Kathy Dahlkemper, Chris Carney and Paul Kanjorski are all among those targeted by the ads, which are virtually identical to previous radio spots run by the group. Citing the presence of a conservative third-party candidate, Republican Pat Meehan has backed out of the last scheduled debate in the competitive 7th Congressional District.
Meehan’s campaign decided to skip the Oct. 14 debate hosted by the League of Women Voters after the group said it would allow independent Jim Schneller to participate. Schneller has not been involved in previous debates between Meehan and Democrat Bryan Lentz. Full Story
