NRCC polls four Pa. districts

Republicans recently spent more than $75,000 for snapshots of the political climates in four Keystone State House districts.

The National Republican Congressional Committee commissioned polls in the 3rd, 7th, 8th and 11th Districts—the same four districts in which the committees recently bought TV time.

The spending was disclosed on independent expenditure filings Sunday. The checks were cut Friday, according to campaign finance data, but it’s likely the polls themselves were taken before the NRCC pulled the trigger on its local ad campaigns. The four districts targeted are the four most competitive on pa2010.com‘s Congressional Power Rankings.

Almost all the polls were conducted by GOP polling firm Ayres, McHenry & Associates.

Again, Burns is left out in the cold. If only we had beaten back the establishment and supported the Colonel!

p=dog… give up the fantasy. PA-12 is not going Republican regardless. I would be willing to go out and guess the Republicans win PA-13 before they pick off PA-12.

Too many people in PA-12 have voted Democrat all their lives (which for many in that district has been a substantial number of years) and aren’t going to pull the R lever now. I have read that PA is going to lose one congressional district after the 2010 census and it will likely be that the 12th will be the one that will be carved up and appropriated to neighboring districts. So either Critz or Burns, whoever wins this Nov. would have to face an incumbent in a neighboring district in 2012.
