Kaine stumping for Trivedi

Kaine stumping for Trivedi

The top man in the Democratic Party is coming to Pennsylvania to pitch in for congressional hopeful Manan Trivedi.

Democratic National Committee chairman Tim Kaine will be in Philadelphia Thursday, where he will headline a fundraiser for the 6th District candidate before he joins a meeting of local Asian-American leaders. For Kaine, it’s part of a tour he’s doing to help Asian-American and Indian-American candidates. Kaine will also be joined by Congressman Mike Honda (D-Calif.), the DNC vice chair who heads the Asian Pacific American Caucus.

Kaine’s appearance will cap a busy week of surrogates campaigning for Trivedi and other area Democrats. Senator Bob Casey and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz were both in southeast Pennsylvania this week to campaign for Trivedi and 7th District candidate Bryan Lentz.

Trivedi is trying to unseat Congressman Jim Gerlach (R-6), in a race that is currently No. 4 on the pa2010.com Congressional Power Rankings.

  1. poll

    Sep 1st, 2010

this is all a diversion to try and get the republicans to spend money defending incumbents and not attacking their vulnerable democrats in other parts of the country, in cheaper markets. i think gerlach’s poll had him up, what, 25?

    poll-
    What poll?
I hope you are not referring to some internal Gerlach campaign poll that they “leaked” to the media.

yes that’s what im referencing. you may not like “internal” polls when they dont favor your preferred candidate, but when they are done by legitimate pollsters, guess what, the pollsters don’t like to compromise their credibility. and so they are legit and statistically accurate. i’m sure if trivedi had poll numbers that countered those numbers, he would have released them by now.

    Jeff,
Please point me to Trivedi’s internal poll numbers that dispute that he is down 25 points.

Poll has tweeked little Jeff. He must be a Trivedi guy. Gerlach has been doing this a long time. He is not going to commission a poll from some dinky pollster. He needs real numbers because he is Republican competing in a Democratic district. It is counter intuitive to commission a poll that do not tell the real story. Oh Jeff, Jeff …so naive
