Dahlkemper ad blasts Kelly as ‘multi-millionaire’

A new TV ad from Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper (D-3) strikes a decidedly populist tone, deriding Republican challenger Mike Kelly as a “multi-millionaire” who will help other wealthy Americans “at the expense of families like yours.”

The 30-second spot is the first time Dahlkemper has gone negative in her campaign against the Butler car dealer. The ad first began airing Thursday in the northwest Pennsylvania district, which is currently No. 3 on the pa2010.com Congressional Power Rankings. The commercial says Kelly supports the financial bailout and wants to enact a flat tax.

“The Kelly plan helps millionaires like him,” the ad says, “at the expense of families like yours.”

This ad is a complete lie. It says right on Mike Kelly’s website that he opposes the Wall St. bailouts. Dahlkemper is disgusting. She’s a true blue liberal and it shows. What a loser.

James … refer to The Meadville Tribune May 7, 2010 – he may say he opposes the bailout now on his website but his true colors (before the party people got their web around him) were exposed early on — Kathy is making her constituents aware of why he is truly running – his own pocketbook.

Alfonso is right. The ad backs up the claim right there for all to see. James, it is what it is. Out of the mouth of babes comes the truth, then there is the DC folks trying to repackage a used car salesman after he said too much. Good for her, she got him with his own words.

Mike Kelly never said he supported the bailouts, the meadville times only printed what paul huber claimed during his primary run. If they have the quote / sound bite then why didn’t dahlkemper place it in her spot? I can tell you why because he never said it. It is so sad when you are behind in the polls to grasp at straws in a desperate attempt to hurt your opponent.

Hey, Ron – ask the meadville times to produce that quote. You will find their silence deafening. Conversely, the congresswomen is on the record speaking about being fiscally conservative and pro-life. Yet, look at her voting history. Talk about a crook…she will not fool the voters twice. save your spin for some other cave dwellers

During the primary at a debate I attended, Mr. Kelly did state he would have voted YES for the bail-out and the cash for clunkers.

J.D. – Oh, it’s valid alright. I was at both the Grove City debate and also the Allegheny College debate during the primary and to be completely honest, I cannot remember which one Mike stated he was in favor of clash for clunkers and bailout. But believe you me, I know I heard it with my own ears because it was shocking he would say something so dumb! I think most in attendance were dumbfounded by that statement. I’m sure both debates during the primary were taped. He comes across as angry and loud.

Using class envy is a typical democrat move. Has nothing to do with issues. Instead, out of desperation, Kathy runs on a campaign platform of “hate the rich guy”. The Dem brand is so down in the dumps they need to resort to this. I guess it makes sense to them because being above the poverty line is against the democrat message.
