Toomey Releases New TV Ad

By TOOMEY FOR SENATE

Allentown – Today, U.S. Senate candidate and former small business owner Pat Toomey released a new TV ad highlighting key differences between himself and his liberal opponent, Congressman Joe Sestak.

Watch the ad here; read the transcript below.

Congressman Sestak has supported all the policies that have prevented our country from achieving the economic recovery we are capable of.  His support for bailouts of Wall Street, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and other failing corporations; historically massive debt; record spending; new taxes; and government-run health care have failed to create jobs.  On the contrary, these extreme policies have made it harder for Pennsylvania businesses and families to cope in these difficult times.

In contrast, Pat Toomey knows we can have a booming recovery if the Washington politicians stop imposing new and unfair burdens on Pennsylvania taxpayers and businesses.  Pat supports cutting taxes for workers and job-creating businesses; ending the bailouts; rescinding the unspent portion of the failed stimulus; cutting wasteful spending; and passing commonsense health care reforms that will lower costs by forcing health care companies to compete with one and other.

“Congressman Sestak talks a lot about presidents of the past, but he says very little about his own record,” said Toomey Communications Director Nachama Soloveichik.  “When Pennsylvanians look at Joe Sestak’s record of 100% support for Nancy Pelosi, and when they see that he has voted for taxpayer-funded bailouts, government-run health care, and $3.5 trillion in new deficits, they’ll says, ‘thanks, but no thanks.’”

The ad will be running statewide on broadcast television.
