Schneller wants in on the debate
Even as he fights a legal challenge seeking to keep him off the ballot, independent Jim Schneller is letting it be known that he should have a chance to participate in campaign debates in the 7th Congressional District.
Democrat Bryan Lentz and Republican Pat Meehan already came together for their first debate last week, a half-hour affair that was broadcast Sunday evening on the Comcast Network. The two will debate several more times in the coming months, starting with a radio debate Thursday evening hosted by Dom Giordano on The Big Talker 1210AM.
In an open letter to Giordano and his two opponents, Schneller, a conservative who got on the ballot thanks to help from Lentz’s supporters, said he wants in.
“Please reconsider your undemocratic decision to exclude me,” Schneller wrote. “I demand little in the way of debate tailoring, and can participate within your format. There is abundant time within which to re-tool for any changes you think may be necessary due to my appearance.”

Let him debate!
He’s on the ballot. People have an equal opportunity to vote for him, so they should have an equal opportunity to hear him debate.
I wonder

Will Lentz give him the talking points just like he got him the signatures needed to be on the ballot? This guys a shill for Lentz and has no place being at a debate given the way the Dems propped him up as a spoiler.

Wonderer-
The guy’s not a shill for Lentz. Rather, he’s fly in the ointment for Meehan. A “shill” implies that he’s actually a confederate of Lentz, working to promote Lentz’s interests. That’s clearly not the case.
Schneller believes much of that crazy Right-wing bullsh*t that Meehan’s trying to sell. Schneller represents another section of the conservative movement (which does not have to ALL be in the Republican party).
Schneller more of “the enemy of my enemy, but not my friend either”.
The Lentz campaign has a great opportunity to exploit divisions in the conservative movement/philosophy.
If Lentz wasn’t smart enough to take advantage of this situation, then he wouldn’t be smart enough to deserve to be in Congress in the first place.
The point of Democracy is for candidates to debate the issues of the day and give the voters a chance to pick whom they agree with.
The Meehan shills need to come out of the closet and admit that Meehan’s scared that Schneller will help emphasize what an empty suit Pat is.

you definitely need some air and the dose of vitamin A that will surge through your body when that first ray of sunshine hits your pallid skin. I can hear you now—–oh the light…hide me from the light

I think you are confusing vitamin A and vitamin D.
I get plenty of sunshine driving my convertible.
You should get some penicillin for your sexually diseased willy.

Diano,
Again with the potty-mouth? Really? I bet if your mother knew you talked like that, she’d come down her stairs and wash your mouth out with soap.
And “If Lentz wasn’t smart enough to take advantage of the situation, he wouldn’t be smart enough to deserve to be in Congress.”? That’s a pretty vapid statement, even by your exceedingly low standards. I bet that would be your excuse for Lentz if he got caught scoring with some teenage girl on her 11th drink, too, right?
Sneaky political tricks aren’t popular, Diano, and if you don’t believe me, ask your mother. I bet she agrees.
Dan, what were your thoughts on the debate? I missed it, and from what I can find its not on Dom’s website anywhere.

Tony-
The Schneller situation fell right into their laps. There are several states were these Tea Party people are beating Republicans head-to-head and splitting GOP votes to help Dems. Remember that Congressional seat in NY? How about Joe Miller in Alaska who seems to be ahead of incumbent Senator Lisa Murkowski in the primary count?
As for seducing teenage girls, you sound like you’ve done some hands on research on that subject. Maybe that explains why you post under an alias?
In Bryan’s case, the girls would probably be trying to seduce him instead.
