Sestak looks to keep Green Party candidate off ballot

Sestak looks to keep Green Party candidate off ballot

For the second time this cycle, Joe Sestak is trying to keep a potential spoiler candidate out of the electoral picture.

The Democratic Senate candidate on Monday filed a ballot challenge against Mel Packer, the Green Party candidate running against him and Republican Pat Toomey. The lawsuit in Commonwealth Court seeks to have Packer’s nominating petitions set aside.

As a liberal alternative to Sestak, Packer could presumably pull votes away from the Democrat in a …

Clinton still hoping to land ‘Joe Says Tax’ a job

With news that former President Bill Clinton will be campaigning on behalf of Democratic Senate candidate Joe Sestak this week, I couldn’t help but comment. As you certainly know, the two made headlines earlier this year for their involvement in the White House “Jobgate” scandal, in which Clinton, at the behest of the White House, offered Sestak a position in the administration as an enticement to drop out of the Senate primary against Arlen Specter.…

In a conference call with reporters, Murphy showed off a list of 2,962 jobs brought to the district by …
