Four debates in the 8th
Their rematch looming, the candidates in the 8th Congressional District will debate at least four times in the coming months before Election Day.
Democratic incumbent Patrick Murphy and Republican Mike Fitzpatrick are still putting the finishing touches on the campaign debate schedule. But four events are already scheduled for October. And in September, the candidates will host a Q&A-style forum with newsman Larry Kane.

Count Congressman Jason Altmire (D-4) among the politicians who doesn’t think a mosque should be built two blocks away from where the Twin Towers once stood.

There was some video back-and-forth in the competitive Senate race over the weekend, when Republican Pat Toomey delivered his party’s response to President Obama’s weekly address—which was promptly followed by a response to the response from Democrat Joe Sestak’s campaign.
