A Toomey-Sestak call-and-response game

There was some video back-and-forth in the competitive Senate race over the weekend, when Republican Pat Toomey delivered his party’s response to President Obama’s weekly address—which was promptly followed by a response to the response from Democrat Joe Sestak’s campaign.

Toomey started off by saying he is “deeply concerned about the direction we’re heading,” which he said is “being driven by extreme policies that are coming from one-party domination of government in Washington.”

“And this extreme ideologically driven agenda is preventing the strong economic recovery and job creation that we should be having,” Toomey said, railing against the growing federal deficit. “It’s time we put some real checks and balances back in place this November.”

Sestak’s campaign quickly struck back, turning Toomey’s comments that the county should “stop digging” into a hole back on the Republican, with some help by comments from former President Bill Clinton, who campaigned for Sestak earlier in the week.

What Pat is really interested in is:
“being driven by extreme policies that are coming from one-party OBSTRUCTION of government in Washington”

“And this extreme ideologically driven agenda is preventing the strong economic recovery and job creation that we should be having”, because the Republicans are putting up roadblocks to the recovery and promoting fear and uncertainty.

Toomey is concerned about the direction we’re heading? while not the best of circumstances, the country is coming back up from the policies of his party’s “leadership” when the GOP had control of two legislative houses and the White House. Barack Obama and the Democrats has overseen job creation in less than two years that is more than all 8 years of the Bush economic record. Toomey’s proposals would take us back to October 2008, and economic failure.

I would hardly say that Obama’s policies are working. And for Toomey to call the current administration “extreme idiological agenda” is laughable. Do we have to remind Toomey of his own “extreme” positions? Give me a break!!

He can keep saying what he wants but voters better go out and do their homework before voting for either candidate!

Vote for who you think is best for the nation but, by gosh, do your homework!

Obama’s policies working? I guess you haven’t checked the unemployment rate, the housing market or our national debt. The guy is overmatched and the writing is on the wall.
