Rothfus staffs up for November
Slowly but surely, Republican Keith Rothfus is building a bit more of a campaign in the 4th Congressional District.
Rothfus, who provided the rare fundraising bright spot for GOP challengers in recent campaign finance disclosures, has made two senior-level hires, with plans for at least one more later this summer. Jonathan Raso is the campaign’s new, full-time finance director, while Jared Stutzman is the new volunteer coordinator.
Stutzman recently worked on Tim Burns’ 12th District congressional campaign, and Raso is a Franklin & Marshall College graduate with a background in finance.
“They’re both young, hard workers,” campaign manager Stephanie Miller said. “They keep the energy up.”
Rothfus still faces a significant fundraising disadvantage against Congressman Jason Altmire (D-4), and Miller said the campaign would continue to be “volunteer-centered.” The campaign had about 300 volunteers when it knocked off former U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan, a number it hopes to build on.
“We’ve got a great team set up for the next three to four months,” Miller said.

Money and a coherent, functional message instead of diatribes against an entrenched incumbent might win Rothfus the election. He has the heart and the ambition. He knows how to serve people. He just needs to tell the District how he’ll lead and serve better than Altmire.

Rothfus all the way!! He has great ideas, he’s not beholden to special interest groups, and he won’t be afraid to vote his convictions (ie, he won’t need a nod from Nancy.) This is the kind of representation the people of the 4th deserve.

Will this clown have any money to pay a staff after Labor Day considering he has $201,681 cash on hand and is $162,674 in debt?
For all of the big talk coming from the GOP in regard to taking back the House their candidates in swing districts are very poorly financed. Kelly, Marino, and Rothfus are all facing incumbent Dems with campaign accounts of $1million+ while their Republican challengers are languishing.

Shelly clearly came to us from in a Utopian Republic in another universe that had no lobbyists, PACs, or effective government. Naive fool. People like you want to further ruin our form of government through asinine plans for term limits that would only serve to enhance the power of the executive.
