Republicans Agree on Toomey’s ‘Club for Greed’

By SESTAK FOR SENATE

MEDIA, Pa. – Republicans may differ on policies and beliefs even amongst themselves, but one thing many of them seem to agree on is that Wall Street’s Club for Growth and its former president Congressman Toomey are too out of touch even for their own party.

As the video below shows, Republicans from former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee to Senator John McCain agree that the Club for Growth — an organization that fights for Wall Street interests at the expense of working families — is “disgusting” and outside the bounds of their party’s principles.

Yet Congressman Toomey, Admiral Sestak’s Republican opponent this fall, continues to push for the same reckless and greedy policies of the organization he said was “a real privilege” to lead.

“The Club for Growth’s rigid advocacy for policies that benefit only the wealthiest few at the expense of working families is what led us into this recession,” said Sestak campaign spokesman Jonathon Dworkin. “Congressman Toomey may believe in and push for these policies, but as even his fellow Republicans point out, his approach is way out of touch.”
