Rasmussen: Corbett up 10 points
Republican Tom Corbett is still enjoying a double-digit lead in the race for governor, according to a new poll.
The Rasmussen survey released Friday showed Corbett, the state Attorney General, winning 48 percent of the vote, compared to 38 percent for Democrat Dan Onorato. Ten percent are undecided and five percent prefer some other candidate, according to the poll.
Polls have shown Corbett’s lead hovering in low double-digits or high single-digits for weeks.
The survey of 750 likely voters, conducted July 14, had a margin of error of 4.5 percent.

Yet another poll where Onorato fails to hit 40%. How could this happen less than four months before the election in deeply Democrat PA? What a dud for the Democrats. The race will surely tighten over the next couple of months. Will Dan the Dud make it to 45% by election day? Miracles can happen.

This poll was taken prior to the major fallout from Corbett’s unemployment remarks. I’d like to see the results right now. Also…Onorato has plenty of time to get his name out there. He is still not well known in the East, but he will be! Bring on the debates!
