GOP poll memo claims double-digit lead for Kelly

A recent internal poll commissioned by Republicans found 3rd District GOP challenger Mike Kelly topping incumbent Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper (D-3) by 11 points, according to a memo by the pollsters.

Clinton headlining fundraiser for Callahan

Bill Clinton is coming to Allentown.

The former president will be in the Lehigh Valley on Aug. 10 to headline a fundraiser for congressional hopeful John Callahan. The Bethlehem mayor and White House recruit is running against incumbent Republican Charlie Dent in the 15th District.

Callahan’s campaign announced the fundraiser in an e-mail to supporters Saturday. An invitation to the event at a private residence in town did not list any minimum donation amounts.
