Onorato says he’s raised $1M in a month

Democrat Dan Onorato’s gubernatorial campaign said Wednesday that it raked in $1 million in campaign cash over the last month.

The campaign said that money came in after the latest state campaign finance reporting period closed on June 6. New campaign finance data won’t be filed until September. But combined with polls that show him gradually closing the gap against Republican Tom Corbett, the Onorato campaign was making a show of strength four months before Election Day.

“Our strong fundraising in the past month is just one sign of our growing support,” campaign manager Kevin Kinross said in a statement. “Now that the primary is over, more people are becoming familiar with Dan’s record and they are responding to his message of economic growth and government reform. Elections are about choices, and as we approach November, people are choosing Dan Onorato’s experienced leadership over Tom Corbett’s empty rhetoric.”

Onorato has $2.5 million since winning the May Democratic primary. Corbett had more cash on hand as of last month, after cruising to his party’s nomination.

Asher is the key, Dan. Spend your money there. Hypocrisy is the biggest sin in politics, and Corbett has it in spades. Mr. Law and Order, the Scourge of Political Corruption, has a convicted felon who went to jail for political corruption as the CHAIRMAN of his campaign. Pretty effective message for the last two weeks leading up to the election. Do it, Dan and you win. Don’t do it and, well, maybe you win, maybe you don’t. Tom the Hypocrite is your answer.

That’s funny. Clearly Asher wins the election for Onorato. Buy Dan had not the balls to go there. He will lose his only opportunity because he fails to realize his chance. Poor Danny Boy.

Asher is a self-important, overrated political has-been. He’s lost his fundraising juice. Republicans laugh at the guy behind his back.

Dan-Dan the tax-man. Dan cant run Allegheny and now he wants to run the whole state? Did you know that Allegheny County is the ONLY county in the state that has a County Police Force. The force is all political favors and there is no college needed to be a county Cop. Just know someone or donate money to Dan and you too can be a county Cop and make $100,000 to patrol the County Parks. Like i said NO other county has County Police except Allegheny.

Why wouldn’t Onorato use Asher as an issue. Seems like a good political move. Force Corbett to spend money defending the felon.

Come on, Mike V. You and I both know that neither of these candidates is worthy to run the state. An absolute rip-off to taxpayers that these are the two names on the ballot. Neither one has any SPECIFIC idea of how they are going to handle the overwhelming budget deficit in 2011. There are no leaders in Pa. only bureaucrats.
