NARAL endorsement of Trivedi underscores far-left fringe positions

By GERLACH FOR CONGRESS

(Glenmoore, PA) – Recently, the extremist National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) gave a ringing endorsement and a $5,000 contribution to left wing candidate Manan Trivedi in Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District. The endorsement by this radical group underscores Trivedi’s extreme positions, including his support for taxpayer funded abortions.

Trivedi made it clear he’s ready to spend taxpayer dollars on abortions despite record federal spending and a record $13 trillion debt. Back during the primary, when asked by the Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia if he “supported or opposed the use of taxpayer funds to pay for abortion,” Trivedi answered, “Support.”

Pro-choice and pro-life supporters agree that many of NARAL’s positions are simply too extreme. Over the past few years, NARAL has demonstrated just how out-of-touch they really are with average voters, too. They opposed a ban on late term partial birth abortions, and opposed legislation known as the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, which protected newborns who accidentally survived an attempted abortion. That legislation, which passed 380-15 in the House and was even supported by Nancy Pelosi, would’ve protected newborns described as breathing and having a heartbeat, from being left to die which was a documented practice in some hospitals.

“Trivedi should release his NARAL questionnaire and show us the positions he has taken to win this extremist organization’s endorsement. If he’s willing to publicly state he supports taxpayer funded abortions, just imagine what he didn’t want the public to see,” said Mark Campbell, campaign spokesman. “After eight years of living in California and Washington, DC, and recently traveling to San Francisco to raise money, voters understand that this guy is simply too far left for this district.”
