Murphy’s Undocumented Workers

Levittown, PA – With the 8th Congressional District unemployment rates soaring to recent highs, Mike Fitzpatrick called upon Congressman Murphy to document the 3,000 jobs he claims to have created using our tax dollars.

“Unemployment in the 8th District is at 4-year highs,” said Mike Fitzpatrick, “Both rates have nearly doubled and voters know the Murphy-Pelosi Agenda is to blame.”

“Congressman Murphy claimed in a taxpayer-funded mail piece that he created over 3,000 new, full-time jobs,”[5],[6] said Mike Fitzpatrick, “Prove it: I call on Congressman Murphy to prove he created over 3,000 new, full-time jobs.”

“Congressman Murphy outlines about 1,100 jobs in his taxpayer funded mail piece. Where are the other 2,000 jobs?” asked Fitzpatrick, “Who got these jobs? When were the workers hired?”

“Congressman Murphy must document these jobs by stipulating where these were, what they are, when they were creates,” said Fitzpatrick.

“If Congressman Murphy used taxpayer resources to create these jobs, we as taxpayers have a right to know,” said Fitzpatrick. “We deserve accountability and we have a right to ask these questions, especially in light of Congressman Murphy providing $2.4M to a company headed by an executive convicted of bribery.”[7]

“As a County Commissioner, I brought people together,” said Fitzpatrick, “At the Bucks County Economic Development Corp from 1997-2004, the BCEDC has independently documented preserving over 4,000 jobs and creating nearly 3,000 new jobs in the Bucks County Enterprise Zone alone.”

Fitzpatrick concluded, “The people of this area have the right to demand accountability from their elected officials. I have always been willing to lay my cards on the table and tell the voters exactly where I stand. It’s time for Patrick Murphy to do the same.”
