Murphy’s Economic Malaise: State Unemployment Stays High

By FITZPATRICK FOR CONGRESS

LEVITTOWN, PA:  Mike Fitzpatrick, Republican candidate for Congress, offered the following remarks regarding the high unemployment rate figures released today for Pennsylvania.

“The State unemployment rate continues to remain indefensibly high under Murphy’s watch,” said Mike Fitzpatrick, “Today, the unemployment rate in Pennsylvania is 9.2%; that’s 96% higher than where we were just four short years ago.”[2]

“The Pennsylvania unemployment rate has gotten worse since May,” continued Fitzpatrick, “With few signs of improvement.”

“Only 23% of Americans believe that the Murphy-Obama agenda has helped the economy,” continued Fitzpatrick, “And only 13% of Americans believe that the Murphy-Obama agenda will help them.”[3]

“Murphy has been a rubber stamp for Barack Obama’s failed policies,” said Fitzpatrick, “Their misguided policies have increased the National Debt by over 50%.”

“To create jobs, business owners need access to money to grow,” said Fitzpatrick, “Since Murphy came to office, loans and lines of credit are few and far between for local business owners.”

“Lenders won’t start lending until they know our country is in sound fiscal shape,” finished Fitzpatrick, “We must get the debt under control and reign in government spending in order to give lenders and business the environment they need to grow.”

“The only thing the Murphy-Obama agenda has managed to accomplish is put us in a bigger hole,” said Fitzpatrick, “As our Representative, I will focus on bringing jobs back locally by putting our country back on the right fiscal track.”
