Murphy has $1.7M in the bank
Congressman Patrick Murphy (D-8) raised more than half-a-million dollars in May and June, finishing the period with about $1.7 million in the bank, according to newly filed campaign finance data.
Murphy is now enjoying a healthy cash advantage over Republican Mike Fitzpatrick, who finished June with about $664,000 in cash on hand. He has rebuilt his campaign coffers almost to where they were in the fall of 2008, before he went on a late-campaign spending spree to win a second term.
Murphy has raised $2.6 million since winning that second term.

Fitzpatrick is yet another Republican who offers nothing of substance on the economy or the problem os unemployment. He’s actually dumbed it down in the mold of Pat Toomey in advancing ideas that would exacerbate those problems. How could he expect to win against a moderate like Murphy taking on positions that would increase joblessness like the Club for Dopes pushes as serious policy ideals?

How is Murphy a moderate? Yes on: Cap and Trade,HCR, Stimulus,Dont ask don’t tell, and financial reform. Nothing moderate about that or that fact he endorsed Obama over Clinton in 2008.

FITZFLOP strikes again!!!!
JAN 2010: Mike calls for so-called “open” primary and is quoted as saying: “You don’t need a lot of money for the primary.”
MAY 2010: Mike spends over a quarter of a million dollars on the primary. See http://www.fec.org.
This guy will say/do anything to get back in office.
Eric Wisener for Congress in PA-08!!! We need a third party “now more than ever.”
Unfortunatley, Murphy wins by at least 5 percentage points in November. Guess conservatives will have to wait until 2012 to beat Murphy. Hopefully, by then, Fawkes and Poprik will be gone and we can have a candidate who is not a weather vane.
