Meehan makes radio buy to lambaste Pelosi visit
Republican Pat Meehan is taking to the radio to highlight House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s impending Philadelphia visit on behalf of Democratic opponent Bryan Lentz.
Meehan’s 7th District congressional campaign was set to begin airing a 60-second spot on local radio stations Thursday, including KYW and WPHT, the popular talk-radio channel. The ad, set as a circus-style announcement of Pelosi’s visit, will air for a couple days.
“The Nancy Pelosi political circus is coming to town,” the ad says. “Coming to our area to support fellow liberal Bryan Lentz.”
In one of the country’s most competitive House races, both candidates have received support from their respective party leadership. Lentz has received money from political action committees controlled by Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, while Meehan has gotten money from House Minority Whip Eric Cantor’s PAC.
The race is currently No. 1 on the pa2010.com Congressional Power Rankings.

This is only a taste of what will come. The GOP will unleash an avalanche of advertising (mostly on TV) this fall exposing Lentz’s liberal Harrisburg voting record and tying him to the unpopular DC Democrats. This race is essentially over.

Meehan is truly embarassing himself now…what does this have to do, Pat, with your plans for putting people back to work, creating new employment sectors? Start talking Pennsylvania and 7th CD issues, Pat. Guess you can’t do that because the DC talking points you rely on do not go there.
Pat, pass the tea please!

Dear Sick of it all,
Thank you for peddling my recycled cliches and desperate attempts to change the subject away from the fact Nancy Pelosi is holding a fundraiser for me.
I especially thank you for your selective criticism. Despite the fact that I cannot seem to open my mouth without using the words “Petitions!!!!11!!1″ and “GOP MACHINE!!!!!11!!1″, I appreciate that you deliberately ignore that in an attempt to score partisan political points on this little-read blog by urging my opponent to focus on “issues”.
Yours truly,
Byron Lentz

Meehan violates the first rule of plagiarism- only copy stuff that is smart.
Because he is afraid of being called out on his lack of substance he is all about “monkey see monkey do” and following and repeating the wearisome republican national sound bite drek.
I am waiting for him to start talking about himself a a momma grizzly.

@Byron,
you are so right, who would care that a district Attorney would resort to campaign fraud to get on the ballot. It is way more of a crime to have the party you are in help raise money. Are we to assume the GOP doesn’t hold fund raisers for its candidates? Don’t they ship half guv out there when they can afford her?
I do think it would be great if they could debate on actual issues, but then I guess your guy would need ideas on issues first. Maybe when his campaign is done cuing the circus music they can start coming up with them.

Meehan made a fool of himself in Harrisburg and his supporters made fools of themselves calling Bryan a limousine liberal today. I have been in a few vehicles with Bryan but they were humvees on missions in Mosul, Iraq. The only people driving limousines were the political hack defense contractors given billions by 5-deferment dick and George. Actually they were given our money, tax dollars.
Speaking of political hacks when is Meehan going to pretend to play CSI and embarrass himself again?
Duh tax cuts, duh tax cuts. That mantra really created a great environment. Do they have anything to run on at all?
