Meehan policy picks, the lightning round
Here’s one more fun item from our story Tuesday about Republican Pat Meehan’s roundtable discussion with entrepreneurs and angel investors.
During the event, our host Steven Welch handed out a list of 10 policy prescriptions that could encourage economic development, asking the question: “Suppose this group comes together in 2020 in a celebration that the United States has maximized its economic potential over the last 10 years, what will we say we did right to achieve this task?”
Everyone in the room had to pick three of the options, including Meehan. He only had about 60 seconds to make his picks, so these should hardly be considered his official policy positions. But it was a fun exercise.
Click here for the list of the 10 options. Meehan chose options 1, 6 and 9. Options 4, 5, 6 and 10 were the most popular overall.

Amazingly, left off the list altogether was a 1+ trillion dollar health care bill, a worthless 787 billion stimulus, a cap and tax plan that will in the words of president Obama “skyrocket” energy costs. The wonders of the world never cease.
And come on, Dem Guy. If he had picked all the same ones, you would have picked on him for not being original enough…

“Investments education tax cuts jobs tax cuts jobs investments low taxes.”
See Pat, anyone can vomit up a whole load of word mumbo jumbo just to sound like they have a clue, and it sounds just as ridiculous as when congressional candidates do it.
