Corrections (of the more embarrassing kind)

Despite the slow news week, there are a couple particularly shameful errors that call for corrections. A reminder that you can always view all corrections by clicking on the Corrections tag.

An article Tuesday cited a report by FishbowlDC that said CNN chief medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta was supporting 6th District Democratic candidate Manan Trivedi. The Web site has since published a correction noting that the Sanjay Gupta in question is not the same person as the CNN correspondent. Because the story is moot, it has been removed from pa2010.com.

And because of an editing error, an article Tuesday about efforts by Congressman Patrick Murphy’s (D-8) campaign to point out the changed policy positions of Republican Mike Fitzpatrick misstated the name of a group whose political director endorsed Murphy this week. Tony Massaro works for the League of Conservation Voters, not the League of Conservative Voters—which at first glance does not appear to exist.
