There’s been a flurry of news nuggets in the 12th Congressional District over the last day.
Republican Tim Burns has a new ad out. In the 30-second spot, embedded below, the wealthy businessman criticizes cap-and-trade energy legislation, saying it will cost 1.7 million American jobs. “You can count on me to fight that,” Burns says. Veterans tell Specter to take down ad against Sestak (VIDEO REPORT)
CLIFTON HEIGHTS—A group of military veterans who support Democrat Joe Sestak are calling on Senator Arlen Specter to remove his recent attack ad because it questions the retired Navy Admiral’s last command. At a Wednesday afternoon news conference here, the troops who Sestak had brought out to fight for him railed against the ad, calling it misleading. Sestak himself was in Washington.

Democrat Sheila Dow Ford was set to show up at Wednesday night’s planned debate between her and Congressman Tim Holden (D-17)—but she was also set to debate an empty chair.
Holden’s campaign manager, Eric Nagy, said the incumbent would not be at the evening debate because of scheduled votes in Congress.
“As a constituent, I would certainly feel better knowing the congressman is in D.C.,” Nagy told pa2010.com.
