LEFTOVERS: Biden’s visit for Critz, MoveOn targets Dent, Dems serve up ‘ToomeyFacts’

Looks like Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to campaign for Democrat Mark Critz in the 12th Congressional District is set. Politico reports that the veep will be in Pittsburgh next Friday to headline a fundraiser for the longtime John Murtha aide. If you want to go, be ready to pony up the $250 donation, or you can max out at $4,800 for a “photo reception.”

Meanwhile, the liberal group MoveOn.org is coming after Congressman Charlie Dent (R-15) for his vote against health care reform. Our friends at The Morning Call report on a new ad, embedded below, which calls the Lehigh Valley rep “unfit to lead.” Dent is locked in a tight fundraising battle with Bethlehem Mayor John Callahan ahead of the November election. There was no indication Monday as to the size of the ad buy.

And the state Democratic Party continues its onslaught against Republican Senate candidate Pat Toomey. Now they’ve unveiled a Web site dedicated to the cause, ToomeyFacts.com. They’ve even got their own new Twitter feed for the site. State party spokesman Patrick McKenna called the site “a great tool for voters to educate themselves about Pat Toomey.”

“We are confident that as Pennsylvanians learn just how out of touch and extraordinarily conservative Toomey is,” he said, “they’ll agree that he has no business representing us in the U.S. Senate.”

Am I the only one confused by the guy in the Moveon ad suddenly saying that the health care bill leads to a strong economy without any explanation as to how it does that? He says it reduces the deficit [through medicare cuts and taxes] by $143 Billion over 10 years, and then says, “And a strong economy means…” That’s incredibly idiotic… sorry Moveon, massive fail.

If MoveOn is against him, the guy is DEFINITELY a keeper. There is no organization operating in this country today that is more anti-American than moveon.org. Say what you want, the fact is they’re out to destroy everything Americans value–and that makes anyone who would support them or pay any attention to their “message” just as America-hating as they are.
