With GOP pressuring Dems, Carney donating Rangel cash
Congressman Chris Carney (D-10) is donating money his campaign has received from former House Ways & Means Chairman Charlie Rangel, an action that comes a day after Rangel resigned his chairmanship under an ethical cloud and after days of sustained Republican onslaughts against anyone tied to the New York congressman.
The Times Leader reports that Carney will donate $21,000 that he’s received from Rangel-affiliated PACs to the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute.
The National Republican Congressional Committee, the state Republican Party and individual GOP candidates have been pressuring Democrats for days to distance themselves from Rangel, be it in calling for his resignation before he stepped down or asking if they’ll return contributions from him and his PACs.

What about Joe Sestak? He took at least $10,000 from Rangel.

What about Patrick Murphy? PA2010 would do a great service to all by explaining how these “contributions” work, who took them and why this type of “payola” is possible. (on both sides of the aisle)
