Hey, I say, people against Pike wear t-shirts that say, “Take a Hike Pike!”

Does anyone like this idea?

The Trivedi vote was huge. It was something like 78 to 27. Combined with his endorsement by Chester County, Trivedi is going to get over his “loneliness” at being the only Congressional candidate on the sample ballot. I think Pike had more staffers there with his “Pike” T-shirts than he got actual votes.

Hoeffel’s win was expected. He made a good speech. He was in a good mood because he had just come from Philly’s 8th ward, which also endorsed him.

The Senate vote was to do no endorsement. It passed by 200-something to 100-something. I don’t remember the exact numbers, but it was about 60% to 40%.

So, both Specter and Sestak will appear on the county’s sample ballot.

The majority voted to make NO endorsement because they didn’t want to take a chance on their candidate losing the endorsement and not being on the sample ballot.

Esther-
The vote was the vote. If Specter had won, the Sestak supporters would have been obligated to hand out Specter ballots at the polls.

Montco 4 change-
Marcel was very clear that the vote was to have NO endorsement. Both names will appear.

It’s a loss for Sestak that he didn’t get a badly needed county endorsement.
I think what hurt was was his tired old “convention speech”. Joe started off with his 31 years in the Navy, then his daughter’s illness. Then he talked about how his office is open 7 days a week because it “needs to be” to fix al the problems. (I guess that’s his excuse for failing to pay his Congressional staff less than minimum wage.) Joe finished off with his tired old story about the 19 year-old kid on the deck in charge of the grappling hook on the planes. He took almost 3 minutes on this story he’s been telling since the 2006 campaign.

BTW, I saw Bruce. I failed to recognize him without his mustache, but he came over to say hi.

I was very tempted to put an “Endorsed by Eric Massa” sign next to every Sestak poster.
I did get few laughs when I suggested that Sestak was “tickled” to get the endorsement.
