Rasmussen: Corbett’s still winning
Another week, another poll that shows Republican Attorney General Tom Corbett leading his Democratic rivals for governor.
The Rasmussen survey released Friday showed Corbett topping by at least 13 points. Auditor General Jack Wagner fares the best against Corbett, according to the poll, trailing 46 percent to 33 percent. Allegheny County executive Dan Onorato trails 46 percent to 28 percent. And Corbett leads Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Hoeffel 49 percent to 28 percent. About 17 percent of voters are undecided in each matchup.
The poll did not include state Senator Anthony Williams (D-Philadelphia).
The survey of 400 likely voters had a margin of error of 4.5 percent.

A looooooong time until November. Nice to see Wagner leading in the general election again. Let’s not elect another guy just cause he has Rendell’s money.

Usual caveats for my opponent David Diano as regards the GOP tilt this far out in all the Ras polls: this movement is entirely within the margin of error and reveals, yet again, what all the Ras polls show: our prosecutor is well liked and has locked up the pure GOP vote but has plenty of work to do among Ds and independents; Wagner is the only D with a plus favorable and is our prosecutor’s toughest match-up. Onorato has very high unfavorables and those negatives are highest in the part of the state that knows him best. Hoeffel is the opposite of Onorato: not liked all that well outside of the SE (and that holds him down agaiinst our prosecutor) but he has good favorables in his base area.

Kind of pathetic that Onorato is barely more popular than crazy Joe Hoeffel. That guy is insane. What does this say about Onorato’s reputation when he’s as popular as that freak?

The West knows both Jack Wagner and Dan Onorato very well. That is why Jack is getting all the County committee endorsements.

Hoeffel is running from the f a r left. Karl Marx and Leon Trotsky have to look to their left to see Hoeffel. Trouble is, as Obama, Reid and Pelosi are finding out, the people do want a lefty. Hoeffel miscalculated yet again. Like leaving the House right when the Ds were poised to take the majority to run against Specter. Like finishing second in the Commissioner race. He has shown his true colors as a flaming liberal.

[R]asmussen is about as unbiased as Fox News. Let me know when a real poll has Corbett ahead or behind.
