Poll: Onorato leads Dems, Corbett up in general
Another poll, another snapshot of a wide open governor’s race.
A Quinnipiac University survey released Wednesday showed Allegheny County Executive holding a narrow lead over his Democratic rivals—but with almost 60 percent of voters still undecided. Onorato garners 16 percent of the vote, compared to 11 percent for Auditor General Jack Wagner and 10 percent for Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Hoeffel. State Senator Anthony Williams (D-Philadelphia), who only recently entered the race, trails the rest of the pack with just 2 percent of the vote, according to the poll.
Whoever emerges from the primary field could face an uphill battle, the poll indicates. Attorney General Tom Corbett, the likely Republican nominee, would best Onorato by 10 points, Wagner by 12 points and Hoeffel by 11 points. Corbett easily tops primary opponent Sam Rohrer in the GOP primary, 43 percent to 5 percent.
The survey 1,452 voters had a margin of error of 2.6 percent. The poll had a margin of error of 3.9 percent for the 649 Democrats in the sample, and 4 percent for the 605 Republicans surveyed.

The poll asked about “Tony Williams”. I wonder how that shifts if he files as “Anthony Hardy Williams”.

This is interesting and goes along with yesterdays TV post. Whoever can close it with a good ad campaign will pull it out.

Jack Wagner is still going to win the Democratic Primary, because of his grass roots endorsements.
These polls are premature.

Onorato will have the money to bloody up Corbett beyond repair. Of course Corbett leads Onorato he has higher name ID running statewide twice. But remember, nobody has spent I dime on tv, mail or radio and Onorato has the funds to beat Corbett up badly.

Anybody who believes that this election will be decided by Strong Tv Ad Campaigns is a FOOL, this election is way to critical for our citizens, jobs, state and most importantly our children born and unborn. Pennsylvania residents aren’t going to be fooled by phony tv ad’s they will see them for what they are a facade trying to hide lies and the poor job he’s done as a public servant.

Richard – 1. Calm down; caps lock is not cruise control for cool. 2. This article has nothing to do with Sen. Specter, in fact, his name isn’t mentioned once in the entire text, so minus 5 points for being off topic. 3. If you’re worried about intimidation and being in the Federal Witness Protection Program, maybe you should think twice about broadcasting your name and case information ON THE INTERNET. And 4. I’m about 99% sure that Sen. Specter does not read pa2010, so you’ll have better luck either taking a full page ad out in the Washington Post (a dumb idea, but no one’s accusing you of being a genius here), or give his office a call. Seeing as how you managed to post here, I’m sure you can stumble your way onto Google to find his office numbers.
That is all.

Richard Mills, that Greg K. is like the monkey who climbed up a flagpole so everybody could see his ass. Truth is, I do read this site, every single message and ESPECIALLY YOURS, RICHARD. President Obama and I have been ignoring you because we don’t like you. In fact, the only person we dislike more than you is..VodVarka.
We Hate VodVarka. But don’t worry, the truth is coming out any minute now.

NONE of these candidates is worthy of being the next governor of Pa. All taxpayers in the state are being shortchanged because there is NO ONE capable of doing the job. The post should be left vacant is a better option as opposed to anyone of these candidates filling the position. Why can’t we find a bipartisan LEADER instead of these bureaucrats?
