Murphy also report threats
Congressman Patrick Murphy (D-8) says he’s also on the receiving end of threats in the wake of his recent vote for health care reform legislation.
The Inquirer reports that Murphy has received threats but that neither his offices nor his home has been vandalized. Law enforcement are investigating.
“It’s being handled,” Murphy’s spokeswoman told the newspaper.
Late last week, Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper (D-3) denounced the “threats and insults” she had received.

Murphy is using this as publicity, Fitzpatrick is what he needs to be concerned about, beating him in the general election.

I really resent that those people are trying to hijack the ideals represented by the real Boston Tea Party participants, because they were fighting against the tyranny of the British and these fakers of today are just a bunch of whining dopes.

If Mike Fitzpatrick and his teabagger friends really want to campaign on bringing back pre-existing conditions, go for it.

Here’s a quote from a fighting Dem of yester year that can be applied to the Tea Party today:
“He went out the way he came in . . . No class.” President-Elect John F. Kennedy
When these clowns implode it will be ugly!

That the Liberal Dems of today would emulate President Kennedy. He would not recognize the party of the present. And the Liberal Dems of today would scream about President Kennedy’s policies beig Ultra Conservative.

Old School must have missed that decade where the Democrats of Kennedy’s time were the guys who, after the New Deal and WWII, had introduced bringing into being socialized medicine. So, you’re right that Kennedy might not recognize us now because we settled on a much more conservative bill than he would have settled on.

To everyone playing this up every member of congress gets threats and harassing phone calls it comes with the job. They keep logs and there is an entire section of the capitol police that works with the FBI. It is sad to see a congressman try to use freaks that they would get anyway and tie them to a group of people. I would like to know who called Murphy and see him tie it back to a specific club in Bucks that opposes him. You will not see that because it only works when the threat does not have a face to it. It is going to backfire because calling someone who is already upset with you a radical is only going to motivate them more not make them go away.

It’s amazing to me that the Tea Baggers are so out of their mind. They are radical and violent and represent everything that is wrong with America. This is not the peaceful discourse the founders had in mine AT ALL. Go vote, go organize, and peacefully (and respectfully) voice your opinion. But the vandalism, threats, and violence are just over the line. The tea party has lost it’s mind and its way.

It’s amazing to me that the majority of people commenting here believe Murphy’s claims. Where’s the proof, not just from Murphy, but from most of these congressmen? And how interesting there were no incidents until after the health care bill passed, and now suddenly the Tea Party folks are being portrayed as nuts.
Looks like a smear campaign to me with liberals trying to discredit the Tea Party. Since the incidents haven’t been proven to be linked to the Tea Partiers–or anyone else for that matter–and there isn’t even proof that the majority even occurred, I have to be skeptical about claims by people like Murphy, who have been known to stretch the truth and make dubious claims in the past.

just watch the video posted above and look at that ugly scene. How could you support the tea party after that? They’re obviously racists.

The Disenfranchised Republicans calling themselves Tea Baggers have portrayed themselves as nuts from the get-go.They’ve managed to discredit themselves with their signs calling Obama a socialist, spitting on a member of congress on film, making racist remarks and otherwise agitating against government programs while accepting the payments from them.

Liberals don;t need to discredit the Tea Baggers. They do that fine on their own with their incoherent, irrational arguments.
