LEFTOVERS: Sestak vs. Toomey Round 2 is set, a GOP debate in the 12th
Round One was health care and beer in Allentown. Round Two will be the economy in Philadelphia—beverage still undetermined.
Yes, after joining in a debate last fall, Democrat Joe Sestak and Republican Pat Toomey on Monday announced some details for their second Keep-Arlen-Specter-Out-Of-It debate. It will take place April 11 at La Salle University in north Philly. The subject will be job creation and economic recovery.
For both candidates, the cross-party debating has been a way to get some publicity while also casting themselves and accountable to the public in a different way than the longtime incumbent Specter.
And there’s another debate coming, this one between the two Republican candidates in the 12th Congressional District. Wealthy businessman Tim Burns, who recently won his party’s nomination for the special election there, will go up against Bill Russell, the military veteran staying in the primary against him. It’s happening this Thursday evening in Indiana (hat-tip to PAWatercooler.com).

Wow. Two Senate candidates that don’t believe workers should be paid a minimum wage are going to debate jobs and economy.
Yeah, that will solve problems.
