The district is more conservative than Hafer. She is pro-choice the district trends pro-life, she is for gun control, the district trends second amendment. Critz has those credentials already. He also knows all the township supervisors, county commissioners, state rep’s etc….he already has worked with them. They will be extremely helpful in a 70 day race. Both republican’s are amatures in politics too. Russell showed that last time, Burn’s hasn’t run either. So, there will be all kind of things coming up.

Sorry, I just don’t get it at all. With the climate of the country why would anyone think Critz could win ? Maybe the folks voting for him were just not looking at the big picture at all. Critz was nothing but a flash back to the powerful days of Congressman Murtha. I guess they all asleep when Brown won the Kennedy seat in MA. In case they were’t paying attention, MA is a deep
blue state ! The 12th has a far way to go before they will win a seat with Critz. Only with Barbara Hafer will they even stand a chance. Now is the time for real Politics and I don’t think they are up to it. Hafer has won Statewide before and stands a very good chance in the 12th.
Critz would be destroyed at the polls as he is unknown and has far too much baggage. Just what were the people thinking when they through away their vote ?

Marylou–fine, let’s go with Critz. You can bring the marshmallows when we go down in flames. I DO live in the 12th. Critz is toast. I don’t know that Hafer is the answer, and I agree with you on Cernic.

We have to do some serious reflecting here. The process was completely flawed. No candidate was vetted. This is a disaster.

But you can’t blame Hafer for Critz’s problems. They are HIS doing and the Rs would have bludgeoned him worse.

Time we choose special election candidates in a primary rather than through an appointment process.

Best to go w name recognition and ability to crack down on wall street corruption. Hafer fits the bill, critz does not. If they pick critz… he will get bludgeoned to death in the special with his past and people will say… wow that was stupid to pick this guy.

I think he just worked for the guy…easily explained. All hafer did with her attack on Critz is open the door for Cernic. No one wants her. We don’t even need to talk about her anymore.

Cernic is a loser. The end. He got one…ONE entire vote outside the people in his office that picked him in his own county.

I don’t get this “vetted” term…to me it is just a better word than political whore…that’s what those 2 (hafer and cernic) are.

The Republicans know better than to pick a candidate like that, why don’t we?
