DNC targeting Dent, Gerlach on health care (Updated)
Two Pennsylvania Republicans are among 10 being targeted Thursday by radio ads from the Democratic National Committee.
Constituents of Congressmen Charlie Dent (R-15) and Jim Gerlach (R-6) will hear the radio ads starting Thursday morning, the DNC said. It did not specify the size of the ad buy.
“For too long, American families and businesses have been crushed by skyrocketing health insurance costs—and millions of consumers have been preyed upon by insurance companies,” the ad says. “Americans denied care, kicked off policies they’ve paid for and subject to massive premium increases. But not anymore. Health insurance reform is the law of the land. But no thanks to Congressman Charlie Dent. He stood with insurance companies and their Washington lobbyists and against reform.”

UPDATE: A Democratic operative in the 6th District says the DNC is spending at least $21,000 for ads on KYW.
