Dems hit Toomey in Web ad

Democrats are keeping up their attack on Republican Senate candidate Pat Toomey for his opposition to the Senate jobs bill, releasing a Web ad Monday that says “Toomey doesn’t support us.”

The 30-second spot, embedded at bottom, juxtaposes news about the unemployment rate in Pennsylvania with Toomey’s decision to oppose the legislation. With the party still consumed by its own primary, Democrats clearly think they’ve found an issue on which they can paint Toomey as out of touch with Main Street.

“Given Mr. Toomey’s background as a former Hong Kong banker, a Bush loyalist in Congress and most recently as the head of an ultra-conservative special interest group,” Democratic National Committee spokesman Michael Czin said, “it’s no surprise that Toomey’s positions are out of line with the interests of middle class Pennsylvanians. In the last year, Pat Toomey has come out against dozens of tax cuts for the middle class and reform of insurance companies’ worst practices, and now he’s against a jobs bill designed to get Americans back to work.”

Why are they censoring comments? Doesn’t seem very “progressive” of the Democrats.

News flash to Democrats the majority of people in PA don’t support the Jobs Bill either. It is another stimulus bill with a new name. Most people feel that it is flushing more money down the toilet, and the people who think that we needed another one realizes that if you are going to invest money $15 billion is a joke so they also feel that this jobs bill is a joke for not being big enough. So I think you better find something better to run on. Oh I am sorry I forgot you are supporting Arlen so you don’t have anything better. Well good luck in trying to keep the water out of the sinking ship that is Arlen Specter.

Jeff, in about 10 mins Dave Diano will post about how wrong you are about the stimulus and how it has been a wild success all along. He will call you a defeatist, fear monger, war monger, homophobic, and a racist. Stick to your guns. The David Dianos of the world will meet their maker one day and pay for what they’ve done to this country.

Wow..so if we disagree with “Frank” or “Jeff”, God’s gonna git us? I have never been so scared.

Watch it Dave, apparently The Almighty is working with the Toomey campaign.

    Jeff-
So, you think that voters are against the Jobs Bill, because at $15 billion it’s too small. But, Toomey is against it completely. Last time I checked, zero was smaller than $15 billion.
(and zero is better than Toomey)

    Frank-
My makers are my parents, and I see them all the time. I’m not sure about your maker, but considering your obvious defects, I’m guessing Toyota.

It’s too bad all that guys like Jeff and Frank have to offer are baseless claims and “Truthiness” – it’s true because it has to be true because I feel it in my gut.

Try citing some statistics – like the fact that independent firms like Moody’s and IHS Global Insight have found that the Recovery Act has saved or created somewhere between 1.6 and 1.8 million jobs already and is forecasted to impact a total of 2.5 million jobs by the time all is said and done. The Bureau of Labor Statistics has found that job losses have steadily decreased and are dramatically lower now than they were in January 2009. Sounds pretty successful to me.

Oh, sorry, forgot you guys were allergic to facts. Take a Benadryl and try to get some sleep. You’ll feel better in a couple of hours.

Look out Isaac – their God is mighty and wrathful. And a Republican.
