BB is correct about the need for “culture change.” Both major political parties are equally bankrupt, because they are beholden to special intrests and career hacks. That said, the only way that the democrats have a chance against Corbett is if that lunatic bigot Metcalfe becomes his running mate – a distinct possibility as the only Lt. Governor candidate from Western PA. It is a shame that that the Republicans have so little talent. Jack Wagner is the most logical Democrat candidate, but the reactionary forces led by Ed Rendell and the usual suspects in the financial community are pushing Onorato, just as they are pushing Specter, because that is where their bread is buttered. Too bad for the Democrats and too bad for the public when Corbett and Toomey win; it did not have to be. But maybe that is good for us independents who are hoping that people will one day wake up and rise above these corrupt and ethically bankrupt political parties.

No, Tom, there are NO ALTERNATIVES that is the problem in this state. None of the candidates are worthy of being governor of Pa. We have no leaders only bureaucrats. All of the candidates are worried about themselves first, their constituents second. ZERO LEADERSHIP. We need to abolish the two party system, allow independents and other party candidates to run without all of the red tape needed to get on the ballot. We need to CHANGE THE CULTURE in Pa.

I’m wondering why Corbett is getting any support at all seeing as how his only policy position seems to be as a prosecutor. I’m also wondering is John Perzel will throw money into the race against Corbett. Corbett does share something with Toomey: they’re both empty suits.

BB, do YOU have an alternative? Who should we elect, Disco Dan Onorato? A crazy leftist like Joe Hoeffel? The only Democrat even worth listening to what he has to say is Jack Wagner. Corbett will win, just as Toomey will. The Commonwealth wants change, and the Democrats are simply offering more of the same.

If Pa. voters elect Tom Corbett as gov, they truly have no one but themselves to blame. Terrible, terrible choice. Yeesh, you would think we could have a “real” candidate running to lead this state but there is NO ONE qualified. No one.
