Lets just talk common sense. Critz could not hold a candle to Barb Hafer, go to the root of the problem. TJ. Rooney Will not let the Dems. nominate anyone, with his wicked ways. He is tearing the Pa. Dems apart, and acts like it is everyone else’s fault….he runs a sloppy show to say the least..He pulled the same crap in Lancaster..”No nonanation Again, He makes us look like we can”t make up our minds.. Can’t wait until his term is up… and we get someone with backbone..Wait till the Republicans get a hold of Mark’s background and in Scranton they will be asking “Mark Who” Also, if anyone knows T.J. ask him about how the 50 proxy’s were handle ????

I am almost positive that some of this messaging is coming from republicans attempting to divide both camps. Making a comment under an anonymous name is questionable at best. I said from the very beginning if mark is the candidate then I will support him if it turns out his allegations against him are true then I will not period. It is important for all of us to not pass judgment on mark critz until we know the facts, calling him a crook is way out of line.

Barbara Hafer is a good person and a great candidate, we all have our differences of opinion when it comes to our selection of candidates, but if anything her aggressiveness towards her opponents only made them stronger, especially with Mark, he knows now what to prepare for in the general.

I’m sorry, but Critz can’t win. It probably doesn’t matter since the district will be gone after 2010, but I believe he will lose to Burns or Russell. Hafer has the name recognition and being a former republican would certainly help her in a year that’s going to be tough for democrats. For Democrats to nominate a party insider with no previous experience running for office and no name recognition in the district is stupid. They should have put egos aside and nominated Hafer, the best candidate. Now, they will lose. The PA state Democratic party is just as disfunctional and foolish as the national Democratic party. What a bunch of clowns.

Now that Hafer has dropped out and withdrawn her petitions, I can reveal a bit of insight here.

Last night, I heard from one of my sources that she had gotten only 1,013 signatures. It is unlikely that she would have survived the inevitable petition challenge.

1,013 is a pretty weak number considering that Ryan is far less well known, has less money, and got 1,600 signatures.

Hafer can bluster all she wants about “process” and who is “electable”, but at the end of the day, she couldn’t muster the signatures to show the strength/support she claims to have.

What a pity that Barbara dropped out. Now the republicans will have it and no one is to blame but the morons that voted for the crook. Once you have a very strong and powerful congressman in John Murtha but now you will have to live with a Republican. You screwed up badly and no one wants to hear you cry in your bear.
