Thoughts on that appropriations-seat vote

Two things I found to be funny about last week’s kerfuffle over replacing John Murtha on the Appropriations Committee.

1. Corey O’Brien attacking Paul Kanjorski for not casting a vote that would help the region looks great, but he’s not getting that seat anytime soon, either.

2. Where was Joe Sestak on this? It is really funny actually, because, they are either going on the premise that Sestak will lose his seat next fall by losing the Democratic Senate primary, or that he isn’t as good as a committee member for Appropriations as Patrick Murphy. Either one is pretty insulting, I’d say, but I’m 100 percent sure I’m missing something here.

I do know one thing: Chaka Fattah’s got a brand new buddy to help waste our money.

Sestak is not running for congress this year (i.e. win or loose in the senate race, come January 2011, Sestak will no longer be a member of the House of Representatives).

I get that he won’t be in Congress, but I still want to know how he voted. Regardless, if you seriously think he won’t find a way to back into that seat if he loses the Senate Primary, well…
