Specter Runs Away from Record and Joe Sestak

By SESTAK FOR SENATE

Following tonight’s candidate’s forum in Lancaster, Joe Sestak’s Senate Campaign released the following statement:

“Joe Sestak showed tonight why he is the Senator Pennsylvania needs. We saw a clear contrast between a leader who will lose his job for his principles, and a politician who will lose his principles for his job. Senator Specter ran away from his record just like he ran away from Pat Toomey — and was running away from Joe Sestak by the end of the night. When Specter talked about the toughness needed to take on Pat Toomey, Joe Sestak made it clear that if you want to ‘talk about toughness, I would not have run away from Toomey in the primary.’ When it comes to standing up for Pennsylvania, Joe will never back down.”
